Drake Harris Rendleman, born in Rowan County, North Carolina, December 18, 1801,
his parents being Johnson Martin Rendleman and Experience (Harris) Rendleman. In
1827, he moved to Union County, Illinoi. April 23, 1829, he was married to
Katharine Hunnsaker, by whom he has had Louisa Amanda, Experience Isabel,
Katharine Mariah, Nancy Jane, Mary Ann, Drake Harris, Caroline, Moses A., Sydnah
Susan, Cornelia and Martin Luther. Since his arrival in Illinois, Mr. Rendleman
has carried on tanning and farming, having established a tannery at Jonesboro.
He learned the tanner's trade before he came to Illinois.
